My Interests
My interest in radio began in the late 1940's when I was given a home built set with a bakelite front panel. Radio had to take second place after I married. The main interest then was to build our own house. After I retired I turned to radio again as a hobby. Passed the RAE (Radio Amateurs Examination) in June 1999 with the callsign M1EBQ thanks to the help given to me by David G7OSK.
I passed the Morse Assessment test in in January 2003 with callsign M3EBQ thanks to Keith G0GFQ. Have a look at their web sites .

About Me
My family moved from Grimsby to Cley-
Born and bred in a town the country life was not to my liking, water out of a well, no electricity and toilets down the garden. It took the floods of 1953 to alter all that and bring the village up to date.
I met my future wife Linda in 1949 during my work, Linda's home village is Bale Norfolk. We were married in St.Peter's church Sheringham in January 1953 and then lived in blakeney for a few years.
In 1963 we built a house in Cley where we live now. A page about our family will be constructed at a later date. (With their consent of course.)
